How to run workflow when upon login

I've been looking for articles for the above topic, but can't seem to do so.
Some advice would be helpful. Thanks.
btw, I'm an automator idiot, so keep the tech language simple please.

One is the following:
1. In Automator, go to File > Save As
2. For File Format, choose "Application."
3. Save the application (.app) in a convenient location.
4. In System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items tab, drag your new workflow application into the window. Login/Log out should do the trick?
